This is the house of the Lee family, consisting of Vance Lee, Alex Lee, and their parents and is based on modern architecture.
Background[]
The house is situated in the middle of an upper middle class neighborhood,[1] where every house is practically identical and immaculate. However, the Lee's house has one slight difference: a red wall on the left side of the house (when facing it from the road).
When the family first bought the house, they unanimously voted that Vance get the room with the skylight as he never went outside so this was the only way to ensure he'd get some sun (it's also the reason there's no curtains or blinds, as he'd otherwise have them closed all the time).[1]
